Abu Dhabi: Gasco beat Borouge in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash to enter the semifinals of the inter oil companies division two cricket tournament here at the council grounds on Saturday.
Saleem Baji (eight not out off seven deliveries) and Gayan Indula (nine not out off nine) both played key roles in Gasco's last-ball triumph. They knocked off the winning runs after claiming five wickets between them from a combined 9.4 overs to dismiss Borouge for 130 in 24.4 overs.
Gasco needed two runs from the last delivery, and Gayan stole the two runs to take their score past Borouge's total.
