Mumbai: England will play two Tests and seven One Day Internationals on their tour of India in November and December, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) said yesterday.
The venues and the dates for these matches, however, have yet to be finalised as the BCCI announced a packed itinerary for the period spanning June to April 2009.
India, currently hosting South Africa in a three Test series, will play a tri-series in Bangladesh in June, also involving Pakistan.
This follows the inaugural edition of the 44-day, multi-million dollar Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament to be played in India from April 18.
India then travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup one-day competition from June 24 before touring Sri Lanka for three Tests and five One Day Internationals from July 15 to August 30.
After the Champions Trophy in Pakistan from September 8 to 28, India will host Australia for four Tests in Bangalore, Mohali, New Delhi and Nagpur from October 9 to November 10 before England's visit.
India will begin the new year with a tour of Pakistan for three Tests and five One Day Internationals from January 4 to February 20. They will then travel to New Zealand for three Tests and five One Day Internationals from February 26 to April 15.
