Dubai: Delhi Private School, Sharjah will meet Dubai Modern High School in the finals of the Under-13 Pehla Cup being organised by Maxtalents Inter School cricket tournament.
In the semifinal, Dubai Modern High School beat Al Sadiq High School by 82 runs while Delhi Private School (DPS), Sharjah stopped Our Own High School Al Warqa by 33 runs. Winning the toss Al Sadiq School put Dubai Modern High School into bat and allowed Modern High to post 154 for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Al Sadiq School faced with a target of scoring seven runs per over, just couldn't get their act going. Defending champions DPS won the toss and got off to a good start with Surabh Gir hitting 25 and Aakarsh Malhotra top scoring with 35 to post a 57-runs opening partnership.
They went on to post 112 for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Our Own were bowled out for 79 runs 19.4 overs.
