Mohali: Kolkata Knight Riders lost their fourth straight game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Mohali's Kings XI Punjab defeating them here on Saturday night, but their skipper Sourav Ganguly feels the side are still not out of the semifinal reckoning in the Twenty20 tournament.
"Our fourth straight loss in the tournament was owing to missed chances. We lost the game in a certain situation," Ganguly explained.
He attributed the loss to a crucial catch being dropped, giving away over 20 runs in the last over, losing five early wickets and allowing the Mohali side to pile up 178 runs after losing 5 wickets for just over 100 runs.
"Still, we are a good side. We are not out of the competition. You never know in cricket. We still have five more games and most of them are on home turf," the Knight Riders' skipper said.
Kings XI Punjab, meanwhile, held on to the fourth position in the points table, while Kolkata Knight Riders remained in fifth.
