Mumbai: The Sudhir Nanavati commission, appointed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to probe the incident of Mumbai Indians' player Harbhajan Singh slapping Kings XI Punjab player Santhakumaran Sreesanth, submitted his report to BCCI's Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) here yesterday.

The report will be forwarded to the BCCI president, Sharad Pawar, who is also the chairman of the three-member BCCI disciplinary committee. The BCCI president-elect, Shashank Manohar, and Chirayu Ameen are the other members of the disciplinary committee.

The committee will decide on the quantum of punishment for Harbhajan.

"I have submitted my report to the board's CAO, Ratnakar Shetty, and now it is for the disciplinary committee to decide," Nanavati told reporters after submitting the 14-page report.

Harbhajan has already been banned from Indian Premier League (IPL) after match referee Farokh Enginner found him guilty of slapping Sreesanth after going through the tapes of the controversial match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians at Mohali.

Nanavati, who was given 15 days to complete the investigation, in his initial reaction after seeing the tapes, stated he was "shocked" by what he had seen.
