Sharjah:  The two Sharjah Ramadan Rufi Cup Twenty20 matches held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday night produced an interesting result. Both teams won by an identical margin.

The Seven Seas Strikers beat Step Electro Mechanical by 41 runs while in the second match the Fortune Group beat the Desert King by 41 runs.

Batting first the Seven Seas were bowled out for 120 despite useful contribution from Kaleem Butt (30), Faraz Ahmad's unbeaten 27 and Qadir Nawaz's 24.

The Seven Seas could have posted a bigger total but for Nawaz, who bowled brilliantly to take four wickets for 23 runs. He got good support from Mohammad Kunhi, who also took two wickets for 27 runs.

Seven Seas went for the kill and Electro Mechanical found the going tough with Mohammad Jamil taking three wickets and Faraz Ahmad Mohammad Asif taking two wickets each. Electro Mechanical was bowled out for a paltry 79 and Ahmad was rightly judged the man of the match for his all round contribution.

In the second match, the Fortune Group piled up an impressive 163 for 6 through Mohammad Nadeem's (35), Saeed Ahmad's (32) and Mohammad Asif's (27). The Desert King team would have raced to the target but for Nadeem's deadly spell. He took four wickets for just 21 runs with good support from Ahmad, who also picked three wickets for 22 runs. The Desert King was bowled out for 122 runs.
