Abu Dhabi: UAE's head coach, Bruno Metsu, announced a list of 21 players to join the team's training camp to meet Iraq in a friendly match on January 31 prior to facing Kuwait in the start of their campaign in the Asian qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup on February 6.

The UAE will hold a training camp at Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi from Tuesday January 29 and will hold its daily training sessions at Sultan Bin Zayed Stadium at the premises of the Abu Dhabi Government Departments Sports Association. The match against Iraq, the reigning Asian Champions, will be held at Al Nahyan Stadium, at Al Wahda club, and the match against Kuwait will be staged at Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Jazira club.
Metsu invited Al Wadha defenders Hayder Allo Ali and Basheer Saeed who did not take part in the match against AC Milan or the Challenge Cup earlier this month in Dubai because of injury.
Dropped
Meanwhile, Fahad Masaood, who plays professional in Qatar club, Saleh Basheer the Al Jazira left wing back in addition to custodian Obaid Al Taweela and midfielder Esmail Al Hammadi, both from Al Ahli, have been excluded.
The UAE play in the group that also includes Iran, the favourites and Syria, the underdogs.
