Abu Dhabi: The Al Wahda caretaker coach, Ahmad Abdul Halim, tried to rebuild the confidence of his players as he took them to an internal training camp at Intercontinental Hotel, here, for five days, preparing them for the domestic competition and the Asian Champions League.
Al Wahda are going through their worst ever season for two decades in which they are placed 10th with only 13 points from as many matches.
Big name
They have already fired two coaches, Brazilian Evo Wartman and Dutchman Jo Bonferer who both failed to bring out the best of the players.
Egyptian Abdul Halim played the same role last year and the club will bring a coach with a big name to lead the team in the domestic and continental competitions.
Al Wahda will face Sharjah in the 14th week of Etisalat First Division League on Thursday, who also fired their Dutch coach Van Der Lim this week following their sad exit from the President's Cup.
