Dubai: Most first division clubs have rejected proposals by the Football Association to play the 16th stage of the league over two days on March 30 and 31, instead of playing them in one day on March 31 as scheduled.
The FA was looking to give the matches more media coverage if played over two days, with three matches per day.

Al Nasr and Al Shaab refused the proposal and asked the FA to play all six fixtures of the league in the same day.
Meanwhile, the first division clubs benefited from the 15 day break which began on March 15.
The break was due to the UAE national teams preparations to meet Syria in the world cup qualifiers on Wednesday in Damascus.
Also, Al Wahda and Al Wasl played two matches in the Asian champions league.
The top two teams, Al Shabab and Al Jazira, held external training camps at neighbouring countries. Al Shabab, top of the league standings, held a weeks training camp in Qatar, playing three warm-up matches with Qatari clubs. Al Shabab have one player with the UAE national team, goalkeeper Esmail Rabea. Al Jazira, second in the standings, also held a weeks training camp in Muscat.
Al Jazira have two players with the UAE national team, Ahmada Dada and Rashid Abdul Rahman.
The other first division clubs played warm-ups in the same period to keep their players fit and ready for the coming tough league matches.
