Dubai:  It has become a habit in UAE soccer that most of the first division coaches are sacked even before the start of the second half of the season.

Only three clubs kept their coaches in the current season: Al Shabab, Al Jazira and Al Wasl, while the other nine clubs sacked their coaches due to poor results in the league.

Some of the clubs sacked two and three coaches during the season. The only coach who renewed his contract for the coming season was Brazilian Toninho Cerezo of Al Shabab for the good work he did with the team leading them to top the standings.

Brazilian Ze Mario of Al Wasl who led them to win the double last season, may not continue in the new season due to poor form in the league this season.

Rumours are spreading that Al Wahda club are chasing Al Nasr Croatian coach Luka Bonacic who signed a two-year contract with Al Nasr. Al Wahda sacked Dutch coach Jo Bonfrier in March and are looking for a new coach for the coming season.
