Al Ahli's coach Ivan Hasek has insisted the race for the league title is still wide open.
"At least five teams have an equal chance for the title, but we do not think of the title right now as we need to think of our next match against Al Wasl," the Czech said.
Sunday's win put Al Ahli alongside Al Jazira and Sharjah with 32 points each, but with an extra game in hand against defending champions Al Wasl on May 2. Leaders Al Shabab have 35 points.
And Sharjah's Brazilian assistant coach Jose Esdras also said they were taking one game at a time.
"We have three games left and we just need to just go out there and win all three if we want to win the crown," he said.
