Dubai: Al Nasr coach Luka Bonacic said that the coming season will be different and his team will compete to win titles.
"I did not come here to save the team from relegation and stay in the middle of the table. I always train clubs to win titles and not to escape relegation," said the Croatian coach.
When Luka came to Al Nasr at the middle of January, they were struggling near the foot of the table. They played eight league matches, won one, drew three and lost five, bagging six points, scoring 10 goals and conceding 18.
Under Luka, they have improved playing 10 so far, winning five, drawing four and losing just once, bagging 19 points and scoring 25 goals and conceding 14.
"The hard work we did in the last weeks and co-operation between everyone at the club has led to the good results. We will play the last three league matches without pressure and we hope to win them all to advance in the standings," Luka said.
It was not only the results which changed but the performance of the team in all matches has been excellent. "We have to prepare our team in a very good condition for the coming season. I want Al Nasr to compete for titles next season, because Al Nasr is a big name in the UAE soccer and they deserve to win titles."
