Abu Dhabi: The Capital Police football team have won the Abu Dhabi Government Department's Sports Association League, beating the Moroccan Community 2-1 in the final match of the competition on Sunday here at Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Stadium.
Zuhair Osfag and Sabri Ramadan scored for Capital Police while Mahjoub Bahadi grabbed Community's consolation goal.
Capital Police have now been awarded the ADGDSA league shield in perpetuity after winning the title three times in a row. They are the first team to complete the feat since the start of the competition in 1990.
The club took the title in style after winning eight matches and drawing one against the Marines.
Saif Bin Ahmad Al Hamly, the Chairman of the ADGDSA, presented the shield and medals.
