Abu Dhab: Al Dhafrah's head coach Ayman Al Ramadi is confident his team are capable of staging a battling end to the season and secure their first division status.
The team currently sit in 9th with 22 points, two places above the relegation zone and four points ahead of Al Wahda, who are in 10th.
"We don't need any help from the other teams and we can serve ourselves to achieve our goal of staying in the first division." said Al Ramadi, who replaced Tunisian coach Ammar Al Suwayeh halfway through the season.
"We are capable of staying in the first division and to play in the professional league next season. We have good experienced players who can win points, and we don't need any assistance from the other teams to stop our opponents.
"But we still have more work to do and it will not be easy despite my confidence in the team."
Ensure survival
Al Dhafrah, who were promoted last season, need two points from their three remaining matches to ensure their survival.
But UAE Pro-League status also requires them to meet conditions laid down by the Asian Football Confederation.
"The UAE Professional League Committee (PLC) have given us time to finish our preparations for the Pro-League before the end of May and we are working to meet the conditions necessary to confirm our participation." Ahmad Omran Al Qubeissi, the club's secretary general, told Gulf News.
"We have been concentrating our efforts on the field to improve our team performance and win the points to stay in the first division, and I do believe that the conditions regarding the infrastructure will soon finish."
Former UAE captain Mohammad Omar, who joined Al Dhafrah from Al Jazira in January, added: "It will not be fair if our team was relegated following our excellent performances and results in the second round of the league.
"I have promised our fans upon joining the club that we will not be relegated and I am happy that we are now in a good position to realise that promise."
Al Dhafrah's survival will be guaranteed if Emirates Club lose one of their remaining fixtures.
Al Dhafrah face Al Wasl away, Al Jazira at home and Hatta away.
