Abu Dhabi: Even before the current season ends, Al Dhafrah have started planning for the next.
The team is currently looking at locations for their post-season training camp as they prepare for the rigours of the new professional league.
This is despite facing possible relegation as they hover perilously close to the drop zone. Two points in their last fixtures or a loss by Emirates Club will see them safely home.
Ayman Al Ramadi, the team's head coach, has already submitted plans for team preparation to the board of directors.
The team is looking to hold their training camp in either Italy or France following a two-week rest period at the end of the season.
"The players will have 14 days rest before starting our preparations for the new season, which include a month's training camp in France or Italy followed by another camp for ten days in either Egypt, Tunisia or Saudi Arabia," Al Ramadi said.
The coach confirmed that he had spoken to the club's directors about possible local players he wanted to bring on-board for next season's campaign in the league.
