Abu Dhabi: Al Jazira are continuing their preparations for the last three weeks of the etisalat first division league as they look to grab their first ever title.
Al Jazira, third with 32 points, are hoping to play a friendly in the next few days before the restart of the league on Monday, May 12, when they face Al Shaab at home.
Al Jazira are four points behind leaders Al Shabab and one point behind second placed Al Ahli.
"Despite losing our last match against Al Wahda we still have hope." Ahmad Saeed, the administrator of the team, told Gulf News.
"It was a bad day for us because we lost so many chances to add more goals, but we still have confidence in our players and we believe that all the favourites will find the going tough in the remaining matches and will start dropping points," the former defender added.
Meanwhile, the team's first choice goalkeeper Ali Khaseef will return to the line-up after serving his three-match suspension.
But defender Adil Naseeb and midfielder Abdul Salam Jumaa will miss the match because of suspension.
