Dubai: The UAE national beach soccer team, led by skipper Bakhit Sa'ad and members from the Dubai Sport Council (DSC), visited Iran player Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, who broke his arm during a match against the UAE in the Asian qualifiers of the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup at the Jumeirah Beach Park here last Friday.
Ahmadzadeh underwent a surgery in his arm. He is now recuperating at Rashid Hospital with the DSC looking after him until he is fit enough to return home.
The UAE players presented him with a bouquet and a team shirt, signed by all the UAE players, as a memento.
The UAE players congratulated him on Iran making it to the World Cup finals. They also wished him a quick recovery for Iran's matches in the finals which will be held in Marseille in July.
Ahmadzadeh thanked the DSC and the UAE players for their kind gesture of calling on him at the hospital. He congratulated the UAE team on emerging champions in the Asian qualifiers for the second successive time and wished them all the best for the World Cup finals in France.
Ahmadzadeh congratulated UAE player Rami Abdullah for winning the Most-Valuable-Player award in the qualifiers.
