Dubai: The two player team of Owen Mills (6) and Graham Wood (9) scored 46 Stableford points to win the Betterball of Partners Stableford Tournament at Arabian Ranches Golf Club yesterday.
The format was betterball between the pair on each holes with - handicap allowance.
The winning pair's scorecard consisted of nines of 24 and 22 points having started on hole 5 in this shotgun start format.
Highlights of the card included 3 gross birdies in 5 holes from Mills on holes 13, 15 and 17, who, as a result, has had his handicap reduced to 4.
His playing partner Wood performed admirably on the front nine birdieing both par fives - holes 3 and 8 for 8 points - and parring holes 2, 5, 6 and 9 for an impressive 2 player team score and a 3 point winning margin from second placed Jo (7) and Henk Schoeman (10). Wood reduces his handicap by one to 8.
