Dubai: Entry to the forthcoming EMAAR-MGF Indian Masters to be held at the Delhi Golf Club from February 5 to 10 will be free, organisers of the first European Tour ever to be played in India announced on Saturday.
The $2.5 million tournament, promoted and organised by golf in DUBAI, has attracted a strong field which will see world number five Ernie Els, Thomas Bjorn, Mark O'Meara, Darrren Clarke and David Howell among others vying for honours in the company of top Indian players, led by Jeev Milkha Singh.
“The very intention behind waiving the entry fee is to encourage golfing fans to come and watch big players, some of them coming to India for the first time, in action,” said Mohammad Juma Bu Amaim, Vice Chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAI.
Its all part of the drive to promote golf In India.
