Dubai: Fiza Errington played some of the best golf of her life to clinch the Emirates Ladies Amateur Open in a dramatic playoff at Emirates Golf Club today.

Three players were tied at the end of regulation play but an infringement of a local rule caused a four shot penalty to be imposed, reducing the playoff to Errington and Jacqui Barry.

Barry looked favourite hitting the first play-off hole in regulation while Errington missed the green right.

A poor chip from Errington left Barry in the driver's seat after her first putt finished three feet from the hole.

Errington then calmly rolled in a 15-foot putt while Barry missed, allowing her to be crowned champion.
