Dubai: Mitsuko Emmerson retained her title as Ladies' Club Champion with a 36-hole total of 155, 10-over par.
The opening round of the 36-hole tournament saw her register a gross 78 over the Wadi by Faldo course, with a level-par front-nine being the key to her success.
Birdies came on the 4th, 5th and 9th holes with the one blemish being in the form of a double bogey on the Wadi's 8th hole.
Four drop-shots in her final four holes of round one gave her challengers Viv Caley and Val Pullan an outside chance of catching her.
Strong finish
However, her two-shot lead from the first round proved to be just the cushion she needed to stretch her lead over the final round.
Despite dropping 5 shots in the opening 9 holes over the Majlis layout, Mitsuko finished strongly with a level par 37 shots including a birdie two on the 11th hole.
The runner-up position belonged to Viv Caley with a total of 162, closely followed by Val Pullan on 167.
