Abu Dhabi: The latest round in Abu Dhabi Golf Club's BMW 6-Series Medal saw a return to winning ways for Alex Charawani.
A 1-over par gross score of 73 was good enough to see Alex to a 3-stroke victory over Atique Daneshmend and last month's champion, Khalfan Al Ka'abi.
Following a runners-up finish in the recent BMW Club Championships, this was Charawani's first success in the new BMW Series Competitions.
In the men's 0 to 14 handicap category, Bilal Belaid returned an excellent 79 gross, for a nett total of 67 and a single-stroke victory over Kevin Jamieson.
The lowest nett score of the day was returned by Eiichi Fuji, whose fantastic score of 65 saw him record a 2-stroke victory over Erik Jan Uleman in the men's 15-to-28 handicap division.
In the ladies' section, Sue Henderson continues to be the dominant figure. A gross 85 helped Sue claim top honours for the third consecutive major club tournament. Shot-of-the-Day came from Jean Heycock, a hole-in-one at the par 3 fourth hole.
