Saeed Bin Surour has claimed the $120,000 (Dh441,360) first place in the Dubai International Racing Carnival Trainers' Reward Programme, following an incredible 24 winners in just 10 meetings.

Godolphin's trainer Bin Surour accumulated 684 points, 339 ahead of his closest rival Mike De Kock, who saddled 14 firsts and took home $40,000.

Prize-money totalling $200,000 was on offer for the top six trainers, who earned points depending on their horses' finishing positions for the first 10 fixtures of the DIRC (January 17 to March 6).

In addition, special commemorative trophies will be presented to the owner, trainer and jockey who register most wins alone during the same period. These awards will be presented on Dubai World Cup night on March 29.

Apart from Bin Surour taking the trainers' trophy, Godolphin took the Champion Owner's title, after notching up 14 wins.

Leading jockey honours fell to Godolphin's No 1 rider Frankie Dettori, who also finished the Carnival with 14 victories, four ahead of De Kock's regular jockey Kevin Shea.

Dettori, who partnered Jalil to an impressive win in Round 3 of the Maktoum Challenge on Super Thursday, recorded his first win in this competition having been pipped to the post by Ted Durcan and Weichong Marwing in recent years.
