Dubai: Al Nasr lost the GCC clubs volleyball title after losing 3-1 to Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in their last match of the tournament held in Bahrain from March 22- 28.

Al Qadsia of Kuwait clinched the title after beating hosts Al Nasr of Bahrain 3-0. The Kuwaiti club won the first place on sets' points difference after Al Nasr, Al Qadsia and Al Hilal were level on points with nine, although Al Nasr beat Al Qadsia 3-0.

However, the defeat of Al Nasr by Al Hilal and the easy win of Al Qadsia against Al Nasr of Bahrain knocked the Dubai-based club off the top place and crowned the Kuwaitis.

Al Nasr won their first four matches in the tournament, which put them on top of the standings as top favourites to clinch the GCC clubs title for the first time in the club's history.

They beat Al Qadsia in their first match 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-22). In the second match, they defeated Sohar of Oman 3-2 (23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9).

They beat Al Rayan of Qatar in the third match 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-19).

They continued the winning streak to top the table and become top contenders by defeating the home team Al Nasr of Bahrain 3-1 (25-22, 28-26, 18-25, 25-13). However, they fell at the last hurdle against Al Hilal 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20).
