For an average Indian male, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is one lucky man. With stunning girlfriend Deepika Padukone on his arm and some of the most prestigious Bollywood offers in his hand, one would think Kapoor would be resting easy on his laurels. But think again.
When tabloid! chatted with the actor over the phone about his forthcoming release Bachna Ae Haseeno, Kapoor, 27, was bristling with anger about reports of his alleged public display of affection with his girlfriend.
From the looks of it, the bigger picture about his meteoric rise in Bollywood was somehow lost on the upcoming star.
“How can the media print such nonsense about us? When I read those reports, all I could feel was anger and resentment. I could never dream of doing things like [kissing] in public," said an agitated Kapoor.
For all those who came in late, Kapoor and Padukone were rumoured to be indulging in some heavy canoodling during the shooting of the movie in Australia.
“We are one of the couples who came out in the open about our relationship," said Kapoor. “These reports reflect on us poorly and have hurt both of us.
“This is an example of poor journalism," added Kapoor.
