Kabul: A crowded bazaar in an Afghan town bordering Pakistan was also hit by a suicide attack on Wednesday, killing three civilians, a senior border policeman said.

The bomber blew himself up following a police chase in a town in the southern province of Kandahar.

Two children and three intelligence agents were among the
14 wounded, Khalid said, blaming the Taliban.

Meanwhile, ten Afghan policemen were killed in a series of attacks across Afghanistan also on Wednesday.

The attacks on the police officers include a suicide bombing in southern Helmand province where two officers were killed and three wounded.

In eastern Kunar province, Taliban militants attacked a police border post, killing five officers and wounding seven others, said the provincial police chief.


Another border police patrol in northwestern Badghis province hit a mine, leaving three dead.
