Kabul: US-led forces targeted the network of Taliban commander Jalaluddin Haqqani, in Afghanistan again, US military officials said on Thursday.
Several militants were killed in the raid in eastern and southeast Afghanistan.
The offensive follows a similar raid conducted on Wednesday.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, several insurgents died when fighting erupted in Ghazni province, southeast of Kabul, during an operation against a militant helping foreign fighters enter Afghanistan.
"When forces arrived, several men attempted to engage the force. Coalition forces responded with small-arms fire, killing the militants," the US military said in a statement.
