Melbourne: Former Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks is not ready to talk about his experience even though a gag order by the US military has expired, his father said.
Terry Hicks said that David was still getting counselling and adjusting to life after prison.
"I suppose the longer he holds off telling the story then the interest is still there," Hicks told Fairfax Radio Network.
"Apparently his lawyer's got a book full of offers but David is not interested at the moment."
David is legally barred from profiting from his story.
