Sarajevo: Six people were killed when a man opened fire in a village in Bosnia on Thursday, police said.

The man, a 45-year-old resident of the village, gunned town three people in their homes and three on a bus. Some of the victims are believed to be his neighbours.

The attack took place in a village near the northern town of Tuzla.

A police spokeswoman said the man was arrested and investigations were ongoing, but said his motives were not clear.

The victims include three men and three women.
