Bosnia-Herzogovina: A EU peacekeeping helicopter belonging to the Spanish military crashed on Thursday in Bosnia, killing all four crew members on board, officials said.

The two Spaniards and two German officers aboard the helicopter were killed when it went down around midday.

The aircraft crashed north of the town of Travnik, said Lieutenant Commander Kerry Corkett, a spokesman for the peacekeeping force, which is also known as EUFOR.

Spain's Defence Ministry said the helicopter belonged to its military . The ministry said the helicopter went down near the north-central city of Banja Luka.
The discrepancy in the location of the crash could not immediately be explained.
Corkett said a second helicopter on the same route had confirmed the crash.
