Panaji: Fiona MacKeown, the mother of British teenager Scarlett Keeling who was found dead in Goa last month, has gone into hiding amid safety fears.
Ms MacKeown believes those who tried to cover up her daughter's murder may now target her.
The mother of the British teenager received a pathologist's report on Sunday, concluding her daughter was forcibly drowned in shallow water.
The report, by the Goa Medical College, says Scarlett was held under water for five to 10 minutes.
On the advice of her lawyer, Vikram Varma, Ms MacKeown is now in an undisclosed location and is keeping a low profile amid fears that she has made enemies in the region over her pressure on the police.
In the past few weeks, Ms MacKeown has faced allegations that she neglected her daughter.
She was on a six-month holiday in Goa with her boyfriend and seven of her children.
