Mumbai: Shammi Kapoor, a film hero of yester years, will be felicitated today at the 10th Osian's Cinefan Film Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema.

Actor-director Aamir Khan, who considers Kapoor as his lucky mascot and never fails to seek his blessings before a music album or film launch, will attend the finale of the two-day festival at the National Centre of the Performing Arts.

Several heroines who paired with Kapoor are expected to attend the function.

In a tribute to the 77-year-old actor, who was famous for his boisterous roles and known as Indian screen's 'Yahoo Boy', the festival has put up an exhibition on the golden years of Kapoor's career.

The display is a journey through a vital period in Indian film history - from the days of black and white fantasies, through the resplendent colours of the youthful musicals of the 1960s which in many ways is like what Bollywood is today and the new wave of romantic films of the seventies.
