Thiruvananthapuram: In a hideous addition to a string of sex abuse reports in Kerala, a man has been arrested in Kannur district along with several accomplices for alleged sexual exploitation of his teenage daughter.
According to reports, 45-year-old N. Harris and seven accomplices were arrested by police from Pattanur in Kannur district for alleged sexual exploitation of Harris's 15-year-old daughter.
The girl had apparently been abused first by her father and later forced into prostitution by him.
The matter came to light after the girl spoke out against the exploitation. Harris, who does odd jobs, had reportedly taken her to many places where she was exploited by others.
Reports said the man had threatened the girl with death if she revealed the matter to anyone, which was what prevented her from speaking out earlier.
The girl's mother was reportedly not aware of her husband's deeds until the girl revealed the matter.
