New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) need to gather material evidence within the next 48 days to corroborate the narco-analysis test reports of the three accused in the Noida double murder case otherwise they will get bail, legal experts say.

Relying on the tests, the CBI on Friday named Krishna, the medical assistant of Aarushi's dentist father Rajesh Talwar, and two other domestic helps, Raj Kumar and Vijay Mandal, as being behind the crime.

"Right now, the case against the three accused is proceeding on the same lines as that of the father, Rajesh Talwar, as the tests conducted by the CBI are not admissible in court," said criminal lawyer R.K. Naseem.

Under the law, the CBI has to file a chargesheet within 90 days of registering a case. It registered the case in the Noida double murder on June 1, leaving the agency with 48 days now to file the chargesheet.

New Delhi (IANS) Renuka Chowdhury, Minister for Women and Child Welfare, on Saturday blasted the Noida police for its faulty probe into the double murders and said it should be sued for needlessly tarnishing the Talwar family's reputation.

"It is a complete travesty of justice. The Noida police has ruined the family's reputation. The Talwars' should sue the Noida police for mental agony and torture," Chowdhury told news channel CNN-IBN.

Aarushi Talwar's dentist father Rajesh, who was accused of murdering her, was released yesterday for lack of evidence. "The police has tarnished the character of two normal people. Nothing can compensate for the trauma which the family went through. The cops bungled the case and we have lost confidence [in them]," Chowdhury added.

"I have already asked for the suspension of the police officials concerned."

Aarushi was found dead on May 16 in her Noida home. The police initially named the family's domestic help Hemraj as the prime suspect but retracted after his body was found the next day on the terrace of the house.

The police then arrested Rajesh Talwar on May 23 and said that he killed his daughter in a fit of rage as he objected to her alleged closeness with Hemraj.

The police had also alleged that Talwar was also furious that Aarushi had stumbled upon his alleged relation with fellow dentist Anita Durani and was talking about it with her friends.

Chowdhury had earlier stated that her openly critical stance on the police had won her a lot of public support and she had received a number of letters and telegrams from parents as well as various organisations. She had also criticised a popular production house, which was using the Aarushi murder plot for a teleserial.
