Pristina: UN police are returning to Kosovo’s ethnically-divided town of Mitrovica where violent armed protesters killed a UN policeman from Ukraine and wounded dozens.
The UN pulled out during clashes with Serb protesters, who occupied a UN courthouse, leaving NATO troops in charge.
A UN police commander said officers were returning “gradually.”
The clashes were the worst since Kosovo declared independence from Serbia a month ago.
