Kathmandu: Nepal’s former crown prince has left the country for the first time in two years, a report on the BBC website said.
Crown Prince Paras Shah is believed to have taken a flight to Singapore and is suspected of moving their permanently, following the abolishment of the Nepali monarchy in May.
The report added that close relatives have denied that Shah would leave Nepal. It quoted one relative as saying Shah was travelling to Singapore to find a good school for his children, as their education has been disrupted in their native country.
The prince was seen arriving at the airport escorted by bodyguards.
The son of former King Gyanendra, Shah is infamous for his drunken behaviour and playboy lifestyle.
