Parachinar: Six people were killed when militants in Pakistan attacked a convoy carrying food into a violence-plagued region on Thursday, an official said.
The convoy was ambushed by militants who killed the driver and set fire to three trucks which were transporting good, a senior government official said.
Five of the attackers were killed and four others were wounded when security forces retaliated with helicopters.
Paramilitary troops have been escorting supply convoys into the restive area because of increasing attacks.
