Manila: A group of robbers divested passengers of a public transport jeep of their belongings Friday before turning their attention to molest a pretty woman, whom to their surprise later on turned out to be a man.
Jonathan Bayugin, a 25 year-old store supervisor in Makati City, was riding inside a jeepney along with several other passengers when four men suddenly announced a robbery around noon Friday.
According to reports, the four men divested the passengers of their belongings, but when it was Bayugin's turn, one of them grabbed "her" by the hand, pulled him out of the vehicle and took him with them.
Bayugin, who was then dressed as a woman and wearing make up, apparently fooled the robbers into thinking that he was a female.
Fake chest
The suspects allegedly kissed Bayugin. The hapless victim suddenly let out a mannish shout - that was the time that the robbers realised that it was them who have been fooled by the cross-dressing Bayugin.
The victim's screams caught the attention of village watchmen who proceeded to arrest the jeepney robbers.
Two thieves who took part in the heist were able to flee but two others, identified as Dennis Bondoc and Nicole de Leon, both 21-years-old, were caught by the watchmen.
Bondoc and De Leon later said it had never occurred to them that the person they had molested was a man.
