Laredo: Two bombs exploded in northern Spain, one after a warning from a caller who said he spoke on behalf of the separatist group ETA.
The regional interior ministry says a homemade device packed into a gasoline tin detonated with no warning at 5 am (0300 GMT) on Sunday outside a bank in Getxo, damaging a cash dispenser and breaking windows.
Five hours later a caller said bombs would explode in nearby Laredo and Noja. Police cordoned off both towns and a bomb exploded near Laredo's beach at around 12:15 pm (1015 GMT).
The Spanish authorities were not available to comment, but local newspaper El Pais said there had been no injuries in both cases.
Getxo, near the Basque port of Bilbao, has regularly been targeted by ETA.
