Bangkok: Six people aboard a Thai air force helicopter died after it crashed in southern Thailand on Wednesday, an army spokesman said.
The six, two pilots, two mechanics and two rescue workers, were aboard the Bell UH-1H when it went down in the southern province of Yala, the spokesman said.
The cause of the crash is not known. The spokesman said they do not suspect militant involvement in the accident.
This is the second military helicopter to go down in the region in less than two months.
