Ankara: Turkey’s Constitutional Court should explain its decision to overturn a government ruling on allowing students to wear headscarves, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday.
Stressing that the court was not authorised to examine a constitutional amendment, Erdogan said that it could only focus on its technical aspects.
"The Constitutional Court must certainly explain why it examined the contents of the reform in the (headscarf) case," he told a meeting.
The Constitutional Court annulled the reform on Thursday.
