Ankara: A Turkish news agency said on Sunday that Iran's chief nuclear negotiator has arrived in Istanbul to meet with Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.

Dogan news agency reported that Saeed Jalili, who arrived in Turkey on Sunday, is expected to brief Babacan about his talks with envoys from the US and five other world powers.

The six have called on Iran to freeze uranium enrichment, a demand that Iran has rejected.

Turkey supports Iran's right to produce nuclear energy but calls on the Islamic country to be transparent.
