Washington: Two US Air Force fighter jets collided midair over the Gulf of Mexico near Panama City, Florida, on Wednesday, killing one pilot, officials said.
The US Coast Guard rescued the other pilot who is said to be in good condition.
The one-seat F-15C Eagles were involved in a routine training mission and crashed about 50 miles south of Tyndall Air Force Base.
