Cape Canaveral: Space shuttle Endeavour wrapped up a two week mission and returned to Earth with its seven crew members on Wednesday.
The shuttle made a rare nighttime touchdown at Nasa’s Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, after cloudy weather delayed plans of a pre-sunset landing.
The shuttle descended through the darkness to touch down at 8:39 p.m., an hour after sunset local time.
Endeavour's commander, Dominic Gorie called the short two week adventure a “super-rewarding mission, exciting from the start to the ending."
Endeavour launched into space on an intense space station construction mission on March 11.
The multinational crew accomplished all theire goals, including installing the first piece of Japan's Kibo lab, testing a shuttle repair technique and more.
The international space station is now 70 per cent complete.
