Nashville: Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban welcomed their first child together, daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban on Monday in Nashville, Tenn.
"Mother and baby are very well," a spokesperson for the couple said.
Shortly after the birth announcement, Urban said on his web site, "We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today."
Urban was at Kidman's side when their 6-pound, 7-ounce baby was born. The birth of Sunday comes just days after Kidman and Urban celebrated their second wedding anniversary on June 25.
Kidman has two adopted children with former husband Tom Cruise: Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13. She had suffered a miscarriage in the early years of their marriage, which ended in 2001.
